Love locks of Liverpool

I recently went to the place where all the padlocks are. If you have never visited Liverpool this is the place right next to Albert dock between the museum and Albert docks. These locks contain messages of hope, love and even proposals etc. I stood and read a few messages just trying to remember their visit over where I love you or thank you or even remembrance. I don’t know who started but I’ve looked into the history. It's called the “love locks at Albert dock”. It's supposed to signify an unbreakable bond of love so it sits differently now doesn’t it. It apparently started during the Second World War when women would write the name of their loved ones before they went to war. I’m wondering if I can find a great great relative. Simply beautiful as well and sad all at the same time. What could be more strong than a lock hey. I wonder if they put the lock on and throw the keys away. I’m not sure why I’m talking about this but maybe I will understand soon. Makes me think how important words and declarations are. Those women would write their name on lock in the thought they would never see them again. Sounds a bit deep but in reality it was the truth. It makes me think how much are we willing to give up for love to lock away and throw away the key etc. In the bible Abraham was willing to give up his son of promise to God. Moses left his family to go back to a land that he grew up in and people hated him. It makes me think of promises that I hold on to that need to be given back to God. Or what is the thing that God is asking you to do ? God could be asking you to give up something or to leave or even to stay in the place you’re in. What is he asking you to shut the lock on. It could be a bad attitude or mindset or even judgment. It could even be an opening to say goodbye to the past hurts and look to the future. I don’t know what it is but I hope you are willing to change.

Hope you guys are well and God bless xx

The Secret Garden

Hi guys it has took me so long to write on my blog so if there is mistakes you know why. I got the inspiration for this blog while watching on of my favourite films called 'The Secret garden'.

If you haven't watched it or even read the book I will encourage you to do so. I was recently reminded of this story on Good Friday. Well anyways let me tell you the story as well I can A young orphan girl is sent to England to live with her family a uncle and younger cousin. This little girl being very nosy starts to explore the garden and eventually finds a secret door hidden and locked up to the world. Don't want to ruin the story for you behind the door is a secret garden rejected by life which is so beautiful. Recently I have really though of how this can be a metaphor of life I know big word. How many times have we rejected parts of our life that seem to be rejected we feel like it would be better to lock behind a door and let weeds grow in it and life to. After watching it again the newer version of the film its a bit more dramatic if you know what I mean. The uncle has locked up the garden preventing himself from healing. It made me think how many times have we locked up past mistakes or harden our heart to from the pain of things that have happened. If you watch the film there isn't just the healing of the uncle its about here cousin as well and the little girl also. If you truly look at the story with a open mind it is so beautiful. the little girl holds the key to healing literally she hold to keys to tend the hearts of her family. Sometimes we don't realise who helps use to heal. I know in the older version of the film the little girl tends the garden. If your reading this and your not a Christian it’s a bit like God. It says in John 15 about God being the gardener he tends. There also sometime when he needs to cut off the bad fruit in order for us to grow. I know sometimes cutting off the bad fruit can be painful but that how we grow. Making room for the good stuff hey. I think we need to open up that secret door and let life come in. Are you ready ?

God bless I will be praying for you x
