The Secret Garden

Hi guys it has took me so long to write on my blog so if there is mistakes you know why. I got the inspiration for this blog while watching on of my favourite films called 'The Secret garden'.

If you haven't watched it or even read the book I will encourage you to do so. I was recently reminded of this story on Good Friday. Well anyways let me tell you the story as well I can A young orphan girl is sent to England to live with her family a uncle and younger cousin. This little girl being very nosy starts to explore the garden and eventually finds a secret door hidden and locked up to the world. Don't want to ruin the story for you behind the door is a secret garden rejected by life which is so beautiful. Recently I have really though of how this can be a metaphor of life I know big word. How many times have we rejected parts of our life that seem to be rejected we feel like it would be better to lock behind a door and let weeds grow in it and life to. After watching it again the newer version of the film its a bit more dramatic if you know what I mean. The uncle has locked up the garden preventing himself from healing. It made me think how many times have we locked up past mistakes or harden our heart to from the pain of things that have happened. If you watch the film there isn't just the healing of the uncle its about here cousin as well and the little girl also. If you truly look at the story with a open mind it is so beautiful. the little girl holds the key to healing literally she hold to keys to tend the hearts of her family. Sometimes we don't realise who helps use to heal. I know in the older version of the film the little girl tends the garden. If your reading this and your not a Christian it’s a bit like God. It says in John 15 about God being the gardener he tends. There also sometime when he needs to cut off the bad fruit in order for us to grow. I know sometimes cutting off the bad fruit can be painful but that how we grow. Making room for the good stuff hey. I think we need to open up that secret door and let life come in. Are you ready ?

God bless I will be praying for you x
